Junior Step Fundamental Course

Age range: 6-8 years old

This course enables your child to develop essential music skills through multi-faceted approaches. By focusing on keyboard performance (Electone) and aural development, your child will comprehend the necessary requirements to reach their full potential.

A variety of age-appropriate teaching styles are taught by highly qualified educators, utilizing skills that challenge and motivate your child with a focus on developing independence, creativity, self-expression and keyboard playing skills in a dynamic group environment or individual setting.

Your child is taught to acquire excellent musical skills through a carefully planned curriculum and approach, enabling them to progress to Yamaha Junior Step program after one year.

Junior Electone Course

Age Range: Graduates of the Junior Step Fundamental Course (JSFC)

The Junior Electone Course is designed for students who have completed JSFC and are ready to explore the full capabilities of the Electone. Building on strong fundamentals, students progress into a more advanced and exciting musical journey using an exclusive curriculum developed by the Yamaha Music Foundation, Japan.

The Electone is a versatile and expressive instrument, offering a wide palette of sounds—from solo instruments to full orchestral arrangements. In this course, students learn how to use these features to play various genres, create their own arrangements, and develop rich musical expression.

Under the guidance of our qualified Yamaha instructors, students will have opportunities to showcase their growth through concerts, recitals, and even participate in the annual Yamaha Electone Festival, nurturing confidence and stage presence.

Electone Study Course

Age Range: 9 years old and above

The Electone, often called a “one-man orchestra,” is a versatile instrument that brings music to life with realistic instrument voices—piano, flute, trumpet, violin—and a wide range of acoustic and electronic sounds, rhythms, and accompaniment styles from jazz, rock, and more.

In the Electone Study Course, students learn from Yamaha’s exclusive curriculum, developed by the Yamaha Music Foundation, Japan. The syllabus is designed to build essential music skills while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Students are guided through a comprehensive range of skills, including reading music, playing techniques, rhythm, music appreciation, ensemble playing, chord work, and arranging. Emphasis is also placed on repertoire, improvisation, and creative use of the Electone’s vast capabilities, enabling enjoyable and rewarding musical experiences.
